May 2024 Events - Charleston, SC

May is here and that means the 17-day Spoleto Festival will arrive in Charleston on May 22 with some of the best art and performances of the year.  Piccolo Spoleto will be going on as well with more of bent on local artists and performers.  Try to make it to at least 5 events.  North Charleston will be hosting its Arts Fest from May 1-5.  And you better not forget Mother’s Day on May 12.  It’s warming up out there.  Go visit the gardens and enjoy a stroll.  The Charleston Farmers Market is back in action each Saturday from 8am-2pm in Marion Square.  West Ashley also has a Farmers Market on Wednesdays from 3-7pm in Ackerman Park.  Climb aboard the Charleston Princess for Wine Down Wednesday on May 8 and 22.  Or you can do the brunch cruise aboard the Princess on May 12 or 26.   Queen Street Playhouse will be hosting the one man show Einstein starting May 26.  Here is your May calendar:
